Newsletter March 2025
Dear scouts,
It has been a while since our last letter. Since then, several meetings have been held, arrangements have been made, and programs have been thought of. Therefore we are sending you this letter to keep you updated on preparations for the camp.
Activities
At the start of the camp we are hoping to get to know eachother through some fun games. After the opening day, we will be working with a rotation system, to ensure that every necessary equipment is available.
For the activities you can expect to go sailing, exploring the region and we have our eyes on a soon to be opened new hotspot that will be fun for all. Besides the fieldtrips, you can expect loads of themegames on the campgrounds.
An exception to this system will be the two-day hike, which has been a tradition for years!

For years, two brave pirates have been searching the seven seas for a treasure. Their only clue? A mysterious treasure map! It points to a hidden island where the treasure is supposed to be… but where exactly is this island? That remains a big mystery!
But oh no! They see a storm at sea in the direction in which they have to go!
Will they safely brave the waves? Will the treasure finally be within reach?
While searching for the treasure, they suddenly make contact with a scout. And what do they discover? In the summer of 2025, there will be an amazing camp in Delfzijl, the Netherlands! It sounds like a great place to dock their pirate ship. But first things first! The pirates promise to stop by… but first, they must find the treasure!
Will the pirates succeed in finding Treasure Island and taking the treasure with them?
And will they manage to safely dock in Delfzijl with the treasure?

Conditions & Terms of Payment
Taking part in the ‘International Scout Camp 2025 Delfzijl’, participants are stronglyadvised to get sufficient travel insurance. Insurance is not provided by the camp. Participating is at own risk and in case of any accidents, the participant’s own insurance will firstly be called upon. Similarly any damages will, in first instance, be claimed from the participant’s assurance. If desired, the participants should also take care of a cancellation insurance. If a participant does not show up, or cancels after the subscription deadline, the (former) participant minimally owes the organization the so-far made costs. This amount could sum the whole participation fee and is prescribed by the organization.
As both participating in and organizing the ‘International Scout Camp 2025 Delfzijl’ is quite expensive, terms of payment have been set up. The total participation fee, summing € 190,00, has been split in two terms with each a separate payment due.
- The first term of payment is due the 19th of April 2025 and will amount €95,=
- The second term of payment is due the 17th of May 2025 and will amount the additional €95,=. The 31th of May, is also the official deadline for subscription.

Trivia
Some other things to know are:
- The official opening of the camp is at the 30th of July
- The closing ceremony of the camp is at the 8th of August.
- If you would like to come a day earlier or leave a day later to build up your campsite, please contact us.
- The camp is aimed at scouts in the age of 6 – 18, but there will also be activities for senior scouts (18+)
